Certo Broker and Xilium join MJM Group

Certo Broker and Xilium join MJM Group

  • Certo Broker and Xilium are joining MJM Group – one of Poland’s largest insurance intermediary groups, handling more than PLN 2 billion in premiums annually.
  • Certo Broker brings extensive expertise in group life and health insurance.
  • Xilium develops one of Poland’s most advanced digital platforms for managing employee insurance programmes.
  • The transaction strengthens MJM Group’s position as one of the leading players in the Polish employee benefits insurance market.

Bringing the two companies into MJM Group combines three capabilities that are rarely found together in the employee benefits market: insurance brokerage advisory, specialist product expertise in group life and health insurance, and proprietary technology.

“We want to respond as effectively as possible to the needs of employers and the insurance market. That is why we are developing MJM Group by bringing in partners whose unique capabilities complement the areas that are strategically important to us. Certo Broker provides specialist expertise in employee benefits insurance, while Xilium brings extensive experience in developing modern technology solutions. Having both companies within MJM Group enables us to provide clients with an even more comprehensive range of support,” says Mariusz Goetze, Vice President of MJM Group.

Technology and product specialisation

Xilium develops an advanced platform for managing group insurance programmes. The system currently supports approximately 75,000 users and provides end-to-end administration of insurance programmes – from providing employees with information and enabling them to enrol in insurance schemes, through to automating administrative processes for HR and payroll departments.

Since its establishment, Certo Broker has specialised in group insurance, life insurance and employee benefit programmes. The company currently manages a portfolio representing approximately PLN 80 million in premiums.

“From the very beginning, we have built Certo Broker as an organisation specialising in group and employee insurance, consistently developing the expertise of our team. We believe that the use of modern IT solutions to implement and administer group insurance schemes represents an important direction for the employee benefits market. Joining MJM gives us the opportunity to continue growing while preserving the business achievements we have built over the years. I am convinced that this combination will create new opportunities both for the organisation and for its employees,” says Daniel Zdziński, Chairman of the Management Board of Certo Broker.

Following the transaction, senior managers from Certo Broker will join the management structure of Attis Broker:

  • Daniel Zdziński as Vice President of the Management Board for Employee Benefits,
  • Marta Zdzińska as Managing Director of the Life and Personal Insurance Department.

For the clients and partners of Certo Broker and Xilium, the transaction will not result in any changes to their day-to-day cooperation. Existing service models, client relationship teams, processes and standards will remain in place. Integration will be carried out in stages, while maintaining business continuity and preserving the organisational culture of each company.

The next stage of MJM Group’s strategy

The transaction forms part of MJM Group’s long-term growth strategy, which is focused on bringing together organisations with complementary capabilities and building sustainable competitive advantages based on specialisation and technology.

“We see employee benefits and group insurance playing an increasingly important role in organisational management. We are developing the Group in areas where we can deliver the greatest value by combining advisory capabilities, technology and experience. The addition of these new companies to MJM Group is an important step in delivering this strategy. Xilium’s presence will also support technology development across the entire Group. We will continue to develop the digital platform, expand its integration capabilities and automate processes that make everyday work easier for our clients and partners,” explains Marcin Ślotała, Chairman of the Management Board of MJM Group.

This is another significant transaction for MJM Group. Over the past two years, Leadenhall Insurance and the GIA Investments companies have also joined the organisation. The Group now handles more than PLN 2 billion in premiums, placing it among the largest insurance intermediary groups in Poland.
